Lance Stancik - Head Duck & Upland Fowl Guide

Lance has been with Moody Ranch Outfitters for over 4 years.  Lance trains retrievers and hunting dogs full time along with working here at the ranch when he gets a chance. Lance is one of the most diversified guides we have here at Moody Ranch Outfitters, but most of the time when you can't find him in the field he is here at the bar, playing pool in the Main Hall or feeding dogs.

Craig Ellington - Deer Manager & Guide

Craig  is a life long family friend and has been with Moody Ranch Outfitters since the beginning .  Craig is the Vice President of a Industrial Contracting Company in Houston, TX and also a licensed Coast Guard Captain.  Craig's passion is to introduce young people to the world of hunting and fishing.  He specializes in first time youth hunts as well as adult hunts.  If Craig is not behind a desk making big deals you can find him filling deer feeders, scouting for deer or is saltwater fishing.  Thank goodness we have TOP NOTCH lodging here or he would never stay the night.

Dwayne Pavlock - Head Fishing Guide & Deer Guide

Dwayne has been with Moody Ranch Outfitters since 2003.  Dwayne owns his own company DP Cycles.  He works on atv's and specializes in repairing street bikes.  Dwayne has a passion for fishing and sharing his fishing knowledge with others.   Along with fishing Dwayne also loves to guide Deer Hunts.  You can find Dwayne working on drowned MRO atv's or under a clients hood trying to help him get home.  If only if he could a good night's sleep he be ready to go!

Kirk Wichman - Duck Guide

Kirk has been with Moody Ranch Outfitters since its opening in 2002.  Kirk also trains retrievers for basic hunting obedience to training for  hunt tests as a full time job.  Kirk's company Hidden Lake Retrievers is currently located in Anderson, TX just minutes away from the lodge.  If you are interested in getting more information on the training of your dog feel free to visit his website www.hiddenlakeretrievers.com.  If you can't find him training dogs he's at the lodge brushing blinds and saying " Dude.....We need more water!  We need more water Dude!"

Sean Harding - Duck Guide

Sean has been with Moody Ranch Outfitters for over one year now and is already looking forward next season.  Sean owns the Ace Hardware Store in Huntsville, TX.  He has a passion for duck hunting and it shows every time he goes out.  When Sean is not scouting or working on the sporting clay course you can find him looking for his lost sunglasses somewhere here on the ranch.

G.W. Burlin

Occupation: Bee Keeper/Rancher/ Varmint hunter

Residence: Anderson, Texas

Favorite things to do: Bee keeping/Bee removal, Surf fishing for shark on the Texas coast, Varmint hunting for coyote, fox, bobcat, raccoon and feral hog. In the summer months I sport tour across Texas riding a Honda interceptor 2006 sport bike with touring bags using ham radio GPS tracking and communications threw the internet at  www.findu.com “real time GPS tracking”.

 Contract hunting: Varmint management for exotic ranches in south Texas reducing game loss and disease.

 Technology: Field testing night vision cameras and recorders for camera surveillance manufacturer Covert systems in Houston, Texas, www.spygadgets.com

Hunting techniques: Walk and stalk ambush style hunting with night vision mounted rifles, experienced in varmint calling with hand calls and baiting techniques. Day time varmint hunting using close range shot guns to small rifles shooting over 500 yards with precision bullet placement.

Weapon used for night hunting: DPMS AR-15 Carbine/Colt 20”barrel, 223 “suppressed”/ Reloads 75gr Hornady BTHP /ANT D-740 3^rd Gen rifle scope.

Moose - Pancake Tester

Moose aka "FlapJack" is our in house pancake tester.  He has downed over 3000 pancakes since our beginning.  He prefers to go first in the chow line to make sure everything is up to his stomach's high standards.  You always know its good when you see Flap Jack give the thumbs up sign and smiling ear to ear!
