Hogs are in season all year long. . Please call or e-mail us outfitters@moodyranch.com for current up to date information on your possible hunt. Your basic Texas Hunting License covers this type of hunt. During the warmer months we highly recommend our special night hunts to get the best opportunity to harvest hogs. Below are our most popular types of hunts, however we do have Customized Hog Hunts to suit your needs as well. We can also add lodging or meals to your hunt as well.

Come join us on our Night Safari Hog Hunt Adventure across, over, and under 5000 acres in 4X4 mule with high rack seating and gun rails. This hunt begins at sunset and ends four hours later. We will be hitting known feeding spots and game trails throughout the ranch during your four hour tour. Things to bring on this hunt are: Rubber Boots, Gloves, a light Jacket, flashlight, and Rifle that is a minimum of .243 caliber and shooting no less than 100 grain bullet. We do not allow hand guns or bow hunting on this hunt. Please note Adventure Hog Hunts are not offered during Deer Season (Sept 1st - Feb 28th)

Stand Hog Hunts
This hog hunt is an non-guided gun or bow hunt in a stand near feeders beginning before daylight utilizing lights on the feeders shining down below them, then continuing your hunt during daylight hours all day and ending your hunt after dark again utilizing the feeder lights.

Stalking Hog Hunts
These hog hunts are guided gun or bow hunt for Walking Stalking Hog Hunts and guided bow hunts for Stalking Hog Hunts with the tracking assistance of dogs. These hunts are only offered during the fall and spring of the year. Please call us for more information and availability.

Night Vision Hog Hunt
This Hog Hunt is a guided hunt using gun and goggles provided by guide. Weapon used for night hunting: DPMS AR-15
Carbine/Colt 20-barrel, 223 -suppressed Reloads 75gr Hornady BTHP, and ANT D-740
3rd Gen rifle scope. Night vision goggles used: ANPVS-7 3rd
Gen. This hunt is four hours max in length or until limit is reached beginning after dark. This hunt comes with up to three meat hogs and the opportunity to shoot coons. Please note that booking dates depend on moon phase.

Varmint Hunt with Lodging and all harvest fees for Varmint
This Varmint Hunt is a guided hunt at night using electronic and mouth calls. Guide will use a red lensed spotlight to assist you in spotting varmints. This hunt includes 4 Coyotes, 1 Bobcat, 1 Fox, 1 Ringtail, and Coons.

Squirrel Hunts
Squirrel Hunts are walking guided hunts (not available during Duck Season)where you may use shotgun or 22 riffle.
